Holding a Scandinavian sensitivity to an American tradition, Danish-American Ari Alexander is as equally a jazz musician as she is a singer-songwriter. She was inspired to pursue jazz after learning of her vibrant musical family, including her grandmother and great-aunt, jazz vocalist Teddi King. She has performed at esteemed venues and organizations such as Jordan Hall (Boston), Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

She completed her bachelor at Berklee College of Music where she double-majored in songwriting and performance, and she earned her Master's degree at New England Conservatory where she studied under Dominique Eade and Jerry Bergonzi.

In 2022 she produced and released her album singer-songwriter record "Muse" with her band Visen. In 2023, she released her album Duos with guitarist Cecil Alexander, and in 2024 she released a series of 7 singles from a live studio quartet session. Most recently, she released her post-bop driven record Kaleidoscope (2026) with her husband award-winning jazz guitarist Cecil Alexander.

Currently, she is on tour with her new record, and she runs an online studio where she provides both private lessons, clinics and courses.
